Chemically Bonded Phosphate Ceramics

It is a scientific monograph on a new class of environmentally sustainable materials that we developed. The first edition of this book was published in 2004, and the second one, an expanded version, in 2016. A Chinese translation is expected to be published in 2021.

Publisher: Elsevier

Published": 2016 Second Edition, 2004 First Edition, 2021 Chinese Edition (planned)

Number of pages: 400.

Synopsis

Chemically bonded phosphate ceramics (CBPC) are a new class of ceramics synthesized at room temperature by chemical reactions. They have found applications including dental and prosthetic materials, advanced structural materials to corrosion and fire protection coatings, oil-well and other petrochemical applications, stabilization and encapsulation of hazardous and radioactive waste, nuclear shielding, and storage materials. This book is a unique source giving a comprehensive account of their chemistry, method of syntheses, and applications.

Challenge Island

The third book, The Challenge Island, is a fictional tale of a Caribbean island that faces the catastrophe of global warming. It is also an emotional story of love between a mother and an adopted child.

research articles

We have published more than one hundred peer-reviewed research articles in reputed scientific journals, such as Journals of Nuclear Materials, Journal of Environmental Science, Journal of Materials Research, Journal of American Ceramic Society, Journal of Materials Science, and many others. We researched the scientific causes of the sustainability issues behind materials in use. We developed more sustainable materials as the solution. Some are in use now.
